BIO
Ryan Heise was born and raised in the South Bay. He became involved in the residential construction industry at a very early age, and enjoyed working in the field immensely. His work experience with wood framing and deep foundations, lead Ryan to pursue an education in Civil Engineering from the acclaimed Engineering School of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Ryan worked for an engineering firm in the South Bay during the summer via Fed Ex/Email during the school year. While attending Cal Poly he completed residential and retaining wall structural design and detailing. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Design, he returned to the South Bay to work for the same high quality engineering firm that he had been working for during college. Ryan amassed a wide variety of experience during his time at this firm. Ryan was responsible for training new engineers and projects ranging from typical residential wood framed buildings to open frame aluminum structures, as well as civil and hydrology projects.
At the age of 26, Ryan and his wife opened their own engineering office in the South Bay. He specialized in creative structural designs allowing architects to achieve the desired appearance of the building. Working closely with the architect or designer to provide a structural design to match the cost, application, and desired appearance earned Mr. Heise has a number of consistent clients.
Outdoor activities are very important to Ryan as he enjoys hiking, volleyball, surfing, soccer and many other sports. With all this outdoor activity Ryan has found a deep love for the outdoors and cares greatly for the environment. Ryan aspires to become more involved with “green” buildings, and with enough interest from the community, hopes to have the opportunity to generate many prospects to help improve the impact that building has on the environment.
